Here is a description of Mahgoohah Square's Lion's Paw Bar and Restaurant.
OUTSIDE
The bar is a wide bi-level building with a sloped brown shingled roof, one side of it jutting out over on the top and a deep brown awning separating the first floor from the second. Hanging from the center of the lower awning is the sign: an ornate carving of the underside of a lion's paw with protruding claws. The carving has golden accents and trim.
Main ground floor has a porch area under the awning for guests to enjoy year round as there's a barrier to keep any inclement weather at bay. The windows looking into the first floor on either side of the central double doors are large and thickly framed. The double doors themselves are wooden with large handles to pull the doors open.
Up above on the second floor is all living space, the wall facing the street having three low, wide windows evenly spaced along the wood paneling, which is painted a fading gold.
INSIDE
The ground floor is a very wide, open, spacious room. There is a large wooden spiral staircase in the center of the room, which showcases a small, stylized Asiatic lion holding the railing up at the floor of the stairs. The tiled floor has a multicolor diamond pattern on it, dark blue, whites, gold, and red. There is also a cleaning spell on the flooring, which the barkeep has to renew daily to ensure optimum cleanliness.
The bar is a wide, shallow V-shape on the far right side when walking in, the point of the V facing the middle of the room. Above the bar hangs a portrait of an Asiatic lion with a pleated curtain pulled to reveal it. The portrait is enchanted and so the lion prowls around the frame, occasionally interacting with his pride in the background.
There are low-backed, colorfully cushioned chairs with large rectangular tables surrounding the staircase, but the majority of the seating is booths with soft cushioned backs up against the walls and low-backed, colorfully cushioned benches on the other side of the tables. The ceiling has sweeping pleated fabric hanging between the round lights and the walls are a crisp white with some wooden trim accents. This proves to be an atmosphere that is vibrant and brisk when the natural light is let in then cozy but still decently lit when the windows are covered or during the evening.
The staircase on the ground floor leads to a hallway with three doors, for there are two bedrooms and a bathroom. This floor is comprised of two large studio-style rooms, all fully furnished with an armoire, a writing desk, a large, low bed, a cupboard, a stove, a furnace, and an icebox. There's hardwood flooring and the walls are the same crisp white. The bedroom windows are framed by floor-to-ceiling diamond-patterned pleated curtains. In the hallway, there is a matching portrait of an Asiatic lioness upon the wall next to the room Caleb resides in.
