Passing by the bronzed Wikiup & Wolves statue in the courtyard to walk up the low ramp into the Crescent Hall, students will notice three important things in this open, airy foyer: one, the sparkling crystal lifts that take students to the second story of the school building; two, the high ceilings made to accommodate sunlight and an open feeling; and three, the ability to see down every hallway in the school from this central crescent-shaped hub.
The flooring is made of sturdy, but giving, renewable teak wood laid on top of thick mats to absorb shock in case of any falls. The northern half of the building is almost exclusively sturdy beams and solar panel glass, capturing and utilizing solar energy to power everything in the school, including the magineered crystal lifts on each side of the northern part of Crescent Hall, taking students to the top of the Celestial Sciences tower or the second story of the Cafeteria. The lifts are only partially-enclosed, coming to about chest height on younger standing students, but to be utilized as a mobility aid only. They are also both very large platforms, allowing up to four full-size chairs comfortably without any crowding.
From Crescent Hall, students and staff alike can see straight down every hallway in the school, which spread out along the external crescent shape of the building like rays of light. The central one is, of course. the healing wing, gymnasium, study halls, and the cafeteria. The cafeteria is the easiest seen, as it is at the end of the hall on the external portion of the building, and a very clear two-story high room (the top of which is utilized for anyone with any special needs, be it silence, isolation, or anything else).
Crescent Hall is a lively, glowing entryway meant to reflect the vitality and ingenuity pursued by professors and students alike at Soowees Magic Academy.
